YORK.	Inq. taken at Wighton, Thursday in the fourth week of Lent, 20 Richard II.
	Thomas de Malton, deceased, father of the said Katharine, held in his demesne as of fee the under-mentioned lands. He had two daughters, the said Katharine and Elizabeth, who is still living. The said Elizabeth sued for and had livery of one moiety of the said lands, which were seized into the king’s hands, but Katharine never sued for the other moiety and it has remained in the king’s hands since the death of the said Thomas. Northgevedale. A ruinous messuage, 4 waste tofts and 24 bovates of waste land. Estgevedale. 4 bovates of waste land. The above are held of the king in chief by homage and fealty and by service of a moiety of a serjeanty, the whole serjeanty being the service of finding a crossbowman in the king’s castle of York for 40 days when there is war in the county of York. She died on 20 June, 2 Richard II. Thomas de Plumlond, aged 24 years and more, is her son and heir. The sheriffs of the county have taken the issues since the death of the said Thomas and will answer in their accounts, as the jurors suppose.

	He died seised of the under-mentioned homage and lands. Hokewold and Wilton. The homage of William Wynch the elder, Nicholas Caunceler, John Leget and William Carle the elder, with 23d. yearly rent, held of Robert son of Richard de Ponyngges, knight, a minor in the king’s wardship. Mundeford. The homage of William Smyth, John Sandon and Geoffrey Pudge, with 2s. 4 1/2d. yearly rent, held as above. Estlexham. Lands and tenements held of lord de Bardolf, as of the honor of Wyrmegeye, service unknown. He died on 15 August in the year aforesaid. Osbert, aged 15 years and more, is his son and heir.

BUCKINGHAM.	Inq. taken at Fennystratford, 14 December, 20 Richard II.
	He and Maud his first wife held the under-mentioned manor and advowson of Stokegoldyngton by gift of Robert Archer, formerly rector of the church of Gahurst, to them and the heirs of their bodies, as freely as the said Robert had them by gift of the said John, as appears by the said Robert’s charter dated at Stoke aforesaid, Tuesday before St Clement, 38 Edward III, with remainder to the said John and the heirs of his body. The premises were then held of the king as of the honor of Peverel, service unknown. Afterwards the said John and Maud gave the premises to Edward III and he, by letters patent sealed at Westminster, 10 April, 43 Edward III, gave them to the said John and Maud and the heirs of their bodies with reversion to Edward III. Maud died without heir of her and John, and John married Alice, who is still living, and had issue one Almaric. He also held the under-mentioned manor and advowson of Gothurst, to him and the heirs of his body, by grant of Edward III. Stokegoldyngton. The manor, with the advowson of the church, held of the king in chief by feoffment of Edward III, service unknown. Gothurst. The manor, with the advowson of the church, held of the king in chief by service of a moiety of a knight’s fee. He died on Saturday after St Luke last. Emery, aged 2 years and more, is his son and heir.

CAMBRIDGE.	Inq. (indented) taken at Cambridge, Tuesday after St George, 20 Richard II.
	Joan Osterle alias Hosterly held the under-mentioned messuage, lands etc. in her demesne as of fee. Trompyton. A messuage, a garden, 100a. land and meadow, a dovecot and 3 tofts, part held of Edmund de la Pole, knight, by knight’s service and service of 7s. 6d. yearly, part held of John Wynselowe by knight’s service and service of 9s. 8d. yearly, and part held of the heirs of Henry Bresele(?) by knight’s service and service of 1d. yearly. A garden, a dovecot, 2 1/2a. land and a toft called Caldewell held of Robert Paris, John Styvecle, Thomas Moris and Thomas Priour, jointly enfeoffed of the tenement formerly of Hugh Tymoris, by knight’s service and service of 5s. 2d. yearly, and 2 tofts held by knight’s service and service of 12d. yearly. The said John died without heir of his body on a day unknown since Michaelmas last. Nicholas son of Adam Fraunceis, knight, aged 4 years and more, is his brother and heir. The premises were taken into the king’s hands on the death of the said Joan because they were supposed to be held of the king in chief but they are held immediately as above.

DEVON.	Inq. taken at Exeter, 4 April, 20 Richard II.
	He was seised in his demesne as of fee of the under-mentioned messuages, etc. which came to the king’s hands by the outlawry of the said John at the suit of Robert Skyres, executor of the testament of William Horbury, in a plea of debt. Exeter. 2 messuages and 2 gardens in Paulestrete, 4 shops with a cellar in Smythestrete, a house with a yard adjacent and 4 shops without the south gate and a house by and within the same gate, 3 cottages with three yards without the east gate and a yard without the north gate, held of the king as parcel of the said town, which is held of the king at fee-farm by the mayor and citizens. He died on Wednesday before St Margaret the Virgin last. Thomas Ponton, aged 40 years and more, is his brother and heir. The said John after his outlawry gave the premises to Adam Scut and afterwards they were seised into the king’s hands.

LONDON.	Inq. 18 August, 20 Richard II.
	He held the under-mentioned tenement and toft in his demesne as of fee. St Augustine in le Oldechaunge. A tenement. St Mary Magdalen, Old Fish Street. A toft. The above were held of Edward III in free burgage as is the whole of the city of London. He died on Monday after St Lawrence, 49 Edward III. William, then aged 3 years, was his son and heir. The said William died a minor on Thursday after Michaelmas 49 Edward III. Amy, now the wife of Thomas Neweton, aged 20 years and more, is William’s sister and heir and daughter of the said John. Joan, wife of John Payn, took the issues of the premises from the said John’s death until 14 February, 13 Richard II, title unknown, since when the said Thomas Neweton and Amy his wife have taken them.

	He held the under-mentioned messuage of the right of Alice Walden his wife, deceased, and it was taken into the king’s hand because of the said John’s outlawry for felony. Sempyngham. A messuage, held of the prior of Sempyngham by service of 4d. yearly. He died on Monday after the Invention of the Holy Cross, 14 Richard II. William Bettesson of Sempyngham, aged 30 years and more, is heir of the said Alice, to wit, son of Richard her brother.

	John Rous held jointly with Christina his wife, who is still living, the under-mentioned manor, which John son of the said John Rous, gave them for life by his charter by the name of all the lands etc. that he had in Lenche Rondulf, Churchelench and Radeforde by gift of the said John. The said John and Christina also held for life the under-mentioned messuage and land, which John Trew[man, rector of the church of Lench], and Robert Brugge, chaplain, gave them by charter. Lench Rondulf. The manor, held of Thomas de Bello Campo by service of a fourth part of a knight’s fee. Shirnak. A messuage and half a virgate of land. NORTHAMPTON.	Inq. taken at Rothewell, Thursday after the Translation of St Thomas the Martyr, 21 Richard II.
	The under-mentioned messuage came to the hands of Edward III by the outlawry of the said Thomas at the said king’s suit for the death of John Staverton. Rothewell. A messuage, held of the earl of Stafford in burgage by service of suit to his court of Rothewell twice yearly. He died on the feast of St Augustine, 15 Richard II. Juliana, aged 28 years and more, is his daughter and heir in fee tail.
