	Waleton. A messuage, 160a. arable, 11a. meadow, the pasture of a certain island, and certain pasture at Roghemere and Smalemere, a wood called Halghelee, and 100s. 8d. yearly rent. Moleseye. 60a. land. Annyngelegh. 100a. of moor, heath and waste, and the farm of a heath and of a weir &c. All held for life by Walter, bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, by the demise of the said John, and now in the king’s hand because they were held of the pourparty of Margaret the wife of Hugh de Audeley, the younger, one of the sisters and heirs of Gilbert de Clare, sometime earl of Gloucester, by service of a knight’s fee and doing suit at the court of the manor of Blecchyngelegh; which manor is in the king’s hands by the forfeiture of the said Hugh, and thus through the minority of the said John son of John de la Legh they were taken into the king’s hands after the death of the said bishop, and not otherwise. CORNWALL.	Inq. taken at Launtyan, 26 February, 18 Edward II.
	Launtian, Treglast, Rosewyk. The manors and a moiety of the manor of Trueru, were held of the king in chief by John de Ripariis, as a moiety of the inheritance sometime of Roger de Lucy by service of 1/2 knight’s fee, the other moiety whereof the heirs or assigns of Robert son of Walter hold by similar service. And the said John when scutage was granted to him by the king, levied the same at Treglast as in the other lands aforesaid, viz.—as for a knight’s fee.
CORNWALL.	Inq. taken at St. David, 19 May, 18 Edward II.
	Treglast. The hamlet (extent given), held of the king in chief as of the crown by the feoffment of John de Ripariis who held it of the king in free socage. A certain land called Kellignon (extent given), held of Joan late the wife of John le Seneschal, as of the manor of Hellond in socage and by service of rendering 2s. yearly and doing two suits at the court of the manor yearly. Bodmin. A burgage in the borough held of the prior of Bodmin by service of 22d. yearly, and doing two suits at his court yearly; 1/4a. land held of the said prior by service of 6d. yearly; 7a. land without the borough, held of the said prior by service of 23d. yearly, and doing suit at his court every three weeks; and a grange containing 1/4a. land without the borough, held of Henry Tirel by service of 11d. yearly. Walter his son, aged 19 at the feast of the Purification last, is his next heir. Memorandum (from the escheator?) No other inquisition as to the services of the hamlet of Treglast can be had in those parts but that it is held in socage, because John de Ripariis when lord there allotted it to his tenants by such service, and levied no scutage as they say; but as by another inquisition taken elsewhere, which he sends, it is found that the said John held the manors of Launtian, Treglast &c., of the king &c., by service of 1/2 knight’s fee, order should be taken by the king’s council lest wardship and marriage be delivered out of the king’s hands to his disinheritance.
	Writ to the escheator to send in the inquisitions without delay, 20 June, 18 Edward II. Endorsed with return that he has sent them in and now sends a transcript.

The manor (extent given), held of the king as of the honour of West Derby, now in the king’s hands, by service of 20s. yearly and doing suit at the county court of Lancaster every six weeks and at the wapentake of West Derby every three weeks; and a messuage and 14a. land held jointly with Katherine his wife, who survives, to them and their heirs, by acquisition from Simon son of Tywe, 10a. land by the enfeoffment of William Riggmaydin to them and the heirs of the said Robert, and 7a. meadow by the gift of Agnes daughter of Richard de Whatton and Margery, Cecily, Emma and Helen, her sisters, to them and their heirs to hold of the king as parcel of the said manor.
