STAFFORD. Inq. Monday after St. Peter in Cathedra, 1 Edw. II. (defaced.)
Lands &c. in the king’s hand by reason of the minority of the said Thomas.
Horton. The manor, with its members Ruston, and the hamlets of Gretton and Stanleye (full extent given with names of tenants), including a wood with pasture called Hortoneshay, and land in Lodezerd, held of Edmund, baron of Stafford, in chief by service of 15s. yearly.
Enedon. A third part of the manor (full extent given with names of tenants), held of Theobald de Verdun without service.
Alstanesfeld. A third part of the manor, the hamlet of Beresford including a vaccary called ‘Quernyford,’ and a third part of the hamlet of Bromkot, and lands in Stansop, (full extent given with names of tenants), held of Thomas earl of Lancaster, as of the honour of Tutteburi, by service of 1 knight’s fee.
Tyssington. A third part of the manor (extent given), held of the honour of Tutteburi by service of 2s. 2d. yearly.

Nicholas, son of Nicholas son of Nicholas de Aldithleye, and brother of the said Thomas, aged 18 at the feast of St. Martin last, is his next heir.

The manor, with its members Pontesford, La Lee, Hanewod, Espeleye, Saxecote, the hamlet of Pleyleye, Sybaskot [alias Sibaldescote], Newenham, Ardeskote, Poulemere, Crokton, Schrawardyn, Benthale, Egge, and Moele [alias Mele] (full extent given with names of tenants), held of the king in chief by service of 12l. yearly.
Kenardeleye. The manor with its member Egardesley (full extent given with names of tenants), including a plot of land called Webhurst, held of the heirs of Madoc de Sutton in chief without service.
Egemunden. The manor (full extent given with names of tenants), held of the king in chief by service of a mewed sparrow-hawk yearly.
Gravenhunger. A tenement (full extent given with names of tenants), held of the heirs of Adam son of Richard de Gravenhunger in socage, without service.

Red Castle, Weston and Wikeshull. 3 carucates land (full extent given given with names of tenants), including a park about the castle, another park called Ludeparck, and rents for a moiety of the pond of Moston, and for tenements in Chusbor, Laken and Istefeld (?), held in chief in socage of the heirs of Maud Lestrange (Extranea) by service of 1d.
Marchumleie. 1 carucate land (full extent given with names of tenants), including a wood called Northwode, a fishpond, a warren, 21s. rent from Hakestan, and a plot of land called Austanesle, held in socage of the heirs of John de March [umleie] by service of 1lb. pepper.
Kentenesdene. A rabbit warren and rents (full extent given with names of tenants), a member of Marchumleie and held by the same service.
Loscusford. Rents (full extent given with names of tenants), held in socage of Hugh de Clely, by service of 1d. yearly.
Nicholas, son of Nicholas de Aditheleye, aged 17, is next heir of the said Thomas, unless the wife of the said Thomas is pregnant.
LONDON. Inq. and extent, 20 March, 1 Edw. II.
Aldergate Ward. A messuage without Aldergate called Audeleeshalle(extent given), held of the dean and chapter of St. Paul’s by service of 5s. 4d. yearly, and rendering 7s. to the hospital of St. Bartholomew yearly, and 4s. to the church of St. Botulph without Aldergate for the maintenance of a lamp.
Nicholas his brother, age unknown, is his next heir.

Le Newehalle. A third part of two parts of the manor (extent given with names of tenants), held of the king in chief by service of 1/15 knight’s fee, and there are free tenants who hold of the same manor the following towns &c. viz.—
Bertherton, Weston and two parts of Cherlton, and a messuage and 2 bovates land in Leefeld, held by Geoffrey Griffyn, by service of 1/4 knight’s fee, two pairs of gloves, price 2d., and suit at the hundred of Wich Malban.
Fouleshurst. The hamlet, held by William de Fouleshurst by service of 8s. yearly.
Pikemere. A fourth part, held by John de Pikemere by service of 2s. 2 1/2d. yearly.
Bechinton and the mill of Hassale, held by Matthew de Bechinton by service of 1/2 knight’s fee, and 2s. yearly.
Hassale. The hamlet, held by two free tenants by service of 12d. yearly.
Tatton. The manor, including a ferry, held by Robert de Masey by service of 1 knight’s fee, and 60s. yearly.
Wich Malban. A ninth part (full extent given with names of tenants), including a fishery in Briddesmere, held of the king in chief by the same service with Le Newehalle.
Chester City. 5 burgages &c. (full extent given with names of tenants), with the ferries of Swannesbache and Bromeshurst.
Smalwode. A third part (extent given), held of the heirs of Warin de Maynwaryng by service of 2s. yearly.
Wyreswell. A fourth part (extent given), held of Richard Wodenot by service of 1d. yearly.
Sonde. A ninth part (extent given), held in socage of Meiler de Grenlegh by service of 1d. yearly.
Chakele. A moiety (full extent given), held of the heirs of Henry de Hassale by service of 1d. yearly.
Haywode. The manor (extent given), including a meadow and free tenants in Wryme, held in socage of Hamo de Blakenhale by service of 1d. yearly.

II.
