Return made by the escheator, that the executors of Walter de Gloucester sometime escheator have certified him that the said Thomas died in the time of the late King Edward, and upon a like writ inquisition was returned into the chancery, and the said king gave the wardship of the lands until the lawful age of the heir to John le Kyng, who sold it to Thomas Broun. The escheator has taken simple seisin in the king’s name of other lands, as contained in the inquisition annexed, which were never taken into the king’s hand.
