Addendum

To The Calendar Of Inquisitions, Hen. III.
848. Roger Son and heir of Roger Bertram.
Writ (missing).
Northumberland. Proof of age made before the justices in eyre in co. York by twelve knights and other free men of co. Northumberland (undated). The said Roger was 21 on the eve of St. Nicholas, 30 Hen. III; and the jury know this because one of them, Walter de Whithull by name, has a son Gerard who was born in the same week; they have also made enquiry from men of religion who on the same day and hour took the garb of religion and testify the same; and they know it by the testimony of the chaplains who were present when the said Roger was baptized.
C. Hen. III. File 47. (27.)
