461.	JOHN DE COLVILL, knight.
	Commission to Gilbert Bernard, William le Moigne, knight, and John de Gransete, on representations by John son and heir of John de Colvill that he was 23 years of age at the time of his father’s death, and not a minor as stated in the inquisition taken by the escheator in co. Cambridge, to enquire as to the lands and date of death of the said John, and the age of his heir at the time of his death. 12 October, 35 Edward III.
CAMBRIDGE.	Inq. taken at Ely before Gilbert Bernard and John de Gransete, Saturday before All Saints, 35 Edward III.
	John de Collevill, knight, held no lands &c. in the county on the day of his death, because half a year before his death he enfeoffed Edmund Non, Ralph Bigeneye, Thomas de Welle, Peter Horseye and Nicholas Massyngham, in good faith and without any collusion, of all his lands &c. in the county, to wit, the undermentioned manors in fee simple, and they held them on the day of his death. Neutone, Tyd and March. The manors, held of the bishopric of Ely. He died on the feast of St. Scholastica, 34 Edward III. John Collevill, his son, is his next heir in blood, and was 23 years of age and more at the time of his death. See Vol. X, No. 655.
